There are lots of different types and models of dishwashers to choose from, and therefore getting an idea of what makes them different helps you to narrow it down. There are also certain features that some people find handy.

Integrated or not? Dishwashers can be freestanding, semi integrated, or fully integrated. A fully integrated dishwasher can be hidden behind your kitchen doors and gives a sleeker and more together look. Semi integrated dishwashers are built in but are not covered at the front, and a freestanding dishwasher sits between units and is not built in.

Size – There are also lots of sizes of dishwashers available and the two most important things to think about when choosing the size are the size of the area that you have available and how much space you need in the dishwasher itself.
