For an evening adventure, you can ease down to the east end of the island and ride the ferry from Galveston to Crystal Beach and then back to the island. You can see dolphins while on the ferry as well as herds of jellyfish and pelicans. Riding the ferry is an adventure that kids will love; they can even bring a loaf of bread along to feed the seagulls that follow the ferry back and forth across the bay.
